Murdering the Truth is Terrorism

20.12.2018 Author: Gordon Duff

The New York Times, in early December 2018, ran a 5000-word article outlining how Russian propaganda, supported by independent media, has destroyed America’s understanding of what is real and true. This time I wasn’t cited personally as last year when Newsweek, the Washington Post, Politico and The Hill named me as a Russian agent.

Endless hours with Federal investigators began to recreate a sense of reality. They genuinely began to understand that they are the ones who have been the victims, fed a narrative of lies for years. It was heartening.

In particular, the times went after the downing of MH17, the Skripal poisoning, or whatever it was, various gas attacks, the alleged election rigging, blaming Russia for making it hard for them to get their version out and believed.

For my part, I rely on my experience not just as a journalist or diplomat but in over three decades in the intelligence community.

Let’s take MH17. I was personally involved in negotiations with the Malaysian government to set up a task force to independently investigate. The Dutch investigators were, according to Malaysia, predetermined to blame Russia. A team was assembled, including me and former FBI, a top DC law firm and others at VT but Malaysia was threatened by the US that if they began this effort, the United States would economically retaliate.

I have all the documents and correspondence, it’s not like this kind of thing doesn’t happen every day. We always ask, who benefits? The answer was easy, the extremists who had taken power in Ukraine and rogue members of military organizations with facilities in Azerbaijan and elsewhere. Intelligence had long since sited a conspiracy behind the downing of MH17 and the Malaysian government was the primary victim but had been extorted, threatened, cowed into backing down from seeking justice.

Let’s now look at al-Qaeda. It isn’t just an assertion that there is no such thing as al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden’s American handler is a close friend. I know the top Pakistani intelligence and military officials from the time and went over this with them as well including ISI Director General Hamid Gul, an editor at Veterans Today for nearly a decade.

It was always the same, the CIA formed al Qaeda and there never was a worldwide terror group that broke away and began targeting the United States. Take, for instance, al Qaeda in Yemen.

There were meetings, years ago, on how to justify more American involvement in the region. The decision was made to name some tribes in Yemen “al Qaeda,” tribes randomly picked. Then the GWOT (Global War on Terror) could pour funds into Yemen and aid Saudi interference in their affairs, something going on to this day.

As a side note, it was 18 months ago that Veterans Today asserted that the US was arming and fueling Saudi planes bombing civilians in Yemen. Only a few days ago, it was announced, finally, that the US had been doing it illegally with American funding “off the books.” Imagine, who deserves money less than Saudi Arabia, particularly in their efforts to murder civilians using their American weapons?

We can move on to the Syrian gas attacks. Russian media was accused of making up wild conspiracy theories to justify their aiding Syria in randomly gassing Syrian citizens, even in areas under government control, for no reason whatsoever other than “this is what Russians do.”

How do you fight logic like that particularly when it is presented with absolutely no evidence whatsoever?

This is the New York Times, but it is also the Trump administration. Do note that the Obama administration had never attacked the Damascus government.

We could move on to the Skripal “event.” It is easy to see why it would be in the American news. Imagine the most potent poison imaginable, VX gas, something the US and Israel had produced for years and still store away, according to our sources, in Romania, Georgia and Southern Libya.

However, when a former Russian “spy” named Skripal and his daughter became ill, and I suggest food poisoning or something similar, it had to be Russia and it had to be “Novachuk,” the Russian chemical agent made famous in Call of Duty video games.

Problem is, the Skripals survived and, in fact, there is no evidence they were ever ill in the first place. There are no records of medical care, nothing presented anywhere, no chemical analysis and the other “fact,” as it were, that VX kills in less than 3 seconds 100% of the time.

Both Skripals are alive and well.

Then there is the curious fact that dragging on this story took the Saudi/Trump involvement in the strangling and dismemberment of a Washington Post correspondent named Khashoggi out of the media. Even the CIA says Saudi Arabia did it and their intercepts say it was on the direct order of the Saudi crown prince, commonly known as MBS.

Then again, it is the Trump regime paying for fueling Saudi planes bombing Yemen and the Trump family with a recent $800 million contract in Saudi Arabia for projects that don’t seem to involve anything more than money going to Jared Kushner for doing nothing. Nothing is to be built or managed, only a contract for Saudi Arabia to pay the Trumps almost a billion dollars for unnamed services.

Is Trump being paid to gas up Saudi planes terrorizing Yemen?

What we have are accusations and assertions by a press organization, one of many that seem to act “on demand” to maintain a fake narrative.

The press never asks “why.” They don’t care. They report what they are told to report, make up sources, never complain about lack of proof and now cry like babies when nobody believes them.

For those who actually sit in the meetings, who looked at the documents, the radar tracking and interviewed witnesses on MH17 and other events, the press suffers a shameful lack of interest in reality.

For instance, only a few days ago it turned out that one district in North Carolina had actually counted votes prior to an election, not just early ballots but came up with totals prior to voting. That story was removed from the mainstream media only hours after it was reported.

It was Trump’s party that was involved but news organizations supposedly opposed to Trump covered it up, as they always do. Is the whole thing, the war on the press, all fake or mostly fake? It is certainly fake the only question is how fake?

Then again, there is this unpleasant reality. Those who govern, those who report, those who make war, those who profit, those who bleed the world dry on behalf of the mischief makers are people seldom burdened with issues of morality or values.

We say “seldom,” not “never.”

Each issue can be understood easy enough. There are facts, there are motives, there is evidence. None of these are ever referred to or discussed, only “belief” and “opinion.”

Belief and opinion are so very subject to manipulation and control and with that the debasement of humanity and the cycle of entropy, war, poverty, starvation and fear. In the end, one question lives above all others, who profits? It will never be asked.

Next Generation 5G and the US-China “Cellphone War”

Selected Articles:

Trade War

The unspoken US policy objective behind the arrest of  Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou on trumped up charges, consists in breaking China’s technological lead in wireless telecommunications.

What is at stake is a coordinated US and allied intelligence initiative to ban China’s Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd from the “next generation” state of the art 5G global mobile phone network.

The intelligence operation is led by “Five Eyes”, a so-called “intelligence-sharing alliance to combat espionage” between the US and its four (junior) Anglo-Saxon partners: UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

Western media tabloids repeatedly refer to legitimate “national security concerns” as a justification for the banning of China’s telecom equipment.

What is at stake is a fierce battle in the global wireless telecom industry.

Spy Chiefs Meet Behind Closed Doors in Nova Scotia

On July 17, the spy chiefs from the “Five Eyes” nations travelled from Ottawa to Nova Scotia for a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. (who was on a Nova Scotia tour including meetings with NS Premier Stephen McNeil)

The meeting with the “Five Eyes” spy chiefs hosted by Trudeau was held at an (unnamed) coastal resort in Nova Scotia. It was casually described by The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) as “an informal evening after intense talks in nearby Ottawa”. Nearby?

The encounter with Canada’s Prime Minister was neither informal nor spontaneous. His presence at that meeting served to provide a “political green-light” to the “Five Eyes”  “intelligence campaign” against China:

“Trudeau, …  dropped in on the gathering to share some thoughts about geopolitical threats [from China and Russia].

In the months that followed that July 17 dinner, an unprecedented campaign has been waged by those present – Australia, the US, Canada, New Zealand and the UK – to block Chinese tech giant Huawei from supplying equipment for their next-generation wireless networks.

This increasingly muscular posture towards Beijing culminated in last week’s arrest of Huawei’s chief financial officer, Meng Wanzhou, in Vancouver, over alleged breaches of US sanctions with Iran. (Sidney Morning Herald, December 13, 2018)

CIA Director Gina Haspel and Britain’s MI6 Chief Michael Younger</strong> were in attendance. The intent of this meeting was crystal clear. The arrest of Meng Wanzhou was part of a broader intelligence strategy directed against China which had been planned well in advance.

Trudeau’s July 16-17 tour in Nova Scotia was reported upon. Sofar, the Canadian media has failed to mention Trudeau’s July 17, 2018 meeting with the “Five Eyes” chiefs of intelligence.

Failure of the US Telecom Industries

It’s what you call “Fair Competition”. Bring in the Spy Chiefs!

Let’s face it : The US based telecom conglomerates are up against the wall.  The industry is in a shambles.

Moreover, the US no longer produces smart phones. Its manufacturing base in Silicon Valley has been closed down. US smart phone companies increasingly rely on China not only for cellphone production but also for the development of intellectual property.

China is not only the largest producer of cellphones Worldwide, it is a leader in wireless technology. According to an August 2018 report by Deloitte Consulting:

China is winning the race against the United States to build a faster nationwide wireless network that uses 5G technology, billed as the mobile industry’s future. Unless the U.S. moves more quickly, it will be at a major disadvantage when it comes to creating dominant new companies in the emerging space….

Accordingly, countries that adopt 5G first are expected to experience disproportionate gains in macroeconomic impact compared to those that lag,” the report’s authors said.

U.S. companies have been sounding the alarm over a purported race against China over 5G, perhaps playing to the fears and strategic desires of the Trump White House. (Fortune, August 7, 2018)

The complicity of the Canadian government in the arrest of  CFO Meng Wanzhou on behalf of the Trump White House is reprehensible. It puts in jeopardy Canada’s longstanding economic, social and cultural ties with the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

Who’s Trying to Prevent France from becoming Europe’s Leader

16.12.2018 Author: Jean Perier

There’s no arguing that today’s political climate on the international stage has changed drastically since Donald Trump’s rise to power, as even those states that used to describe themselves as allies have a much harder time working together that they used to. Those difficulties become particularly visible in the relations between Washington and a number of European capitals that have been trying to lead the EU through troubled waters in the aftermath of the Brexit vote in the UK. However, these attempts have been a source of constant frustration among American elites as those are determined to reinforce Europe’s subordinate position, regardless of the price they are to pay in the process.

It is for this very reason that Washington would wiretap all of the leading European figures in a bid to prevent them from establishing a common anti-American front. German chancellor Angela Merkel has been under constant surveillance of the National Security Agency (NSA) for years now, as it has been revealed by a number of media sources. However, she’s not alone to attract that kind of attention from the US, as American intelligence agencies would try to record every discussion that leading political figures across the EU would have. Of course, it goes without saying that those attempts are illegal.

Due to a series of recent revelations made by WikiLeaks, we are now aware that none of the French presidents in modern history managed to escape the attention of the NSA, as it would spy on Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande. According to BFM TV, it’s most likely that Washington established its surveillance center at the territory of the US embassy in Paris, in the immediate vicinity of the Elysée Palace.

It’s clear that the goal of suppressing the revolutionary urge of French politicians has been a top priority for a number of American intelligence agencies. They would establish a tight grip over their actions and their statements to prevent France from rising to prominence. For sure, Emmanuel Macron couldn’t escape this fate, in spite of the fact that he’s a protégé of the Rothschilds. To be more specific, he was working for the family branch that settled in France due to the efforts of Baron Edmond Adolphe de Rothschild. These efforts resulted in the Rothschilds establishing Groupe LCF Rothschild in 1953, a private bank that would soon become the driving engine of international banking investments.

Those people that brought Macron into the Elysée Palace made sure that he would pursue a very specific outlook on the situation within the EU, as he offered Germany and the rest of the union to approach the crisis of mismanagement within the EU and the rise of European skeptics from a completely different angle. In particular, he made a number of statements on Brexit, along with supposedly anti-European steps of Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Italy, which in his opinion were hijacked by the so-called populist movements. What most of these states had in common was their generally hostile opposition to Brussels paired with a loyal approach to Russia. Unsurprisingly, in a number of speeches that Macron delivered last year, Russia would be described as a force that is destabilizing the continent.

However, upon his ascension to power in France, where he was supposed to become a backbone of Trump’s policies in Europe, Macron started demonstrating his independence from the United States, by disagreeing with the sitting American president over a number of issues. This became particularly obvious in an interview Macron gave to the Fox News on April 22, 2018.

To support his position, last summer France’s foreign minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian announced that the EU was prepared to fight Trump’s efforts to “destabilize” the EU. This statement was followed by the sharp criticism of Washington’s trade policies voiced by the French minister of the economy and finance, Bruno Le Mayor. He would also urge the European Union to respond to Washington’s actions with a united response.

As it’s been pointed by yet another prominent French political figure, Benjamin-Blaise Griveaux, France does not share the same civilization model with America and it doesn’t share its values.

It’ safe to say that Emmanuel Macron has made a lot of steps to make those behind-the-scenes masterminds of American foreign policy decide that he has overstayed his welcome. For instance, he would criticize the influence that Washington still enjoys in Europe after speaking at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, stating that there was an acute need to strengthen the economic sovereignty of the EU.

At a big risk for himself, Macron has also radically changed his position on Moscow after paying a visit to St. Petersburg last June. After this visit he decided to fulfill the old French tradition of building alliances with Russia, the trend that was immediately spotted by political analysts and Americana policymakers. In recent years, Russophobia would take center stage in foreign policy designs of the United States. However, during this year’s annual address to the French ambassadors, Macron urged his foreign ministry to review its approach to Russia for the sake of strengthening of European security. Then, Macron would note that Europe should not rely on the United States, taking the matters of defense and security into its own hands.

For sure, none of these steps would go unnoticed by the White House, which resulted in a plan to show the young French leader “his place” before he makes any progress in his designs. The war of words on Twitter was, perhaps, for some time the harshest step the American president would take. However, after the commemorative ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI, which took place on November 11 in Paris, Donald Trump made yet another attack on Emmanuel Macron after the latter proposed the idea of creating a separate European army. Trump said that an American ally in Europe (meaning France) would have suffered defeat in both world wars if it had not been for the military support provided to it by the United States.

The lack of Trump’s political correctness in his approach to France and its president has had a number of expressions. For instance, Trump would call for a return of France’s former greatness, while mentioning the low ratings of his French counterpart. In his Twitter he announced that: “The problem is that Emmanuel suffers from a very low Approval Rating in France, 26%, and an unemployment rate of almost 10%,”

But when the war of words failed, Washington proceeded to yet another manifestation of its discontent with the policies pursued by the Elysée Palace – an outbreak of protests across France that are clearly being staged by an outside force. For sure, Yellow Vests have every right to be frustrated as one’s day to day life in France remains marred by socioeconomic challenges. It is not so much about the infamous fuel tax, as even before it was announced French doctors and nurses publicly expressed their outrage over budget cuts on education and medicine. The police union have also been frustrated with the steps the government takes for a long while.

And even though Frenchmen are always kin to fight for their rights even in the world where errosion of social security is now a global trend, it’s truly alarming that today’s protests across France bear all the attributes of a color revolution. And by this point, Washington has staged enough of those all across the globe to perfect its tools. And since Washington’s main goal is to remove Emmanuel Macron from power, it’s no wonder that protesters are chanting: “Macron must leave.”

It is also noteworthy that protests started with social demands, while the demands to take down the government came much later, as the Fifth Republic remained reluctant to yield to the behind-the-scenes demands put forward by the White House.

It’s also particularly curious that any such provocation staged by the United States and Britain would typically be accompanied by a media campaign, aimed at distracting the public opinion from the real perpetrators of such protests. This time was no different, as Ukrainian intelligence agencies in a bid to please Washington tried to misguide French media sources into searching for a Russian trace behind the protests, but no evidence of Moscow having anything to do with it has been presented to them so far.

However, it is unlikely that this episode of blatant US meddling will succeed in influencing the future policies of France and the EU. Especially in the light of a manifesto put forward by a group of 120 intellectuals and politicians from 16 countries that was published by Le Monde. This manifesto offered a new architecture for the European Union to adopt, aimed at the formation of more democratic institutions within the Union and the transformation of Europe into a real global power.
